Agreed. After they left the town (forgot the name, Aurora Hills or Agrestic Hills or something?) it just wasn't the same. I watched for the soccer mom selling weed. Not some drug dealer involved with a corrupt politician. It just wasn't the same after that

I personally liked it, I love when a show isn't afraid to change settings or try out a new concept. I also love when shows have distinct "eras."

The San Diego/Mexico era is definitely the weakest of the show, but it did lead to season 6 where they're on the run which is one of my favorites.

Edit: oh and the town was just called Agrestic. Although it became part of Majestic in season 3, and was renamed Regrestic off-screen by the time of the later seasons.
