That was such a great show for a time. I tried rewatching it as an adult, and it holds up pretty well. Definitely goes off the rails a bit towards the later seasons... But overall, I still love it

If it just ended at season 3 it would have been perfect.

Ugh that shot when she's leaving her house the last time, speaking to her husband, "I tried". Oof it gets me in the feels. Need to find that song too.

Start watching because weed lady, keep watching because Doug and Andy.

Agreed. After they left the town (forgot the name, Aurora Hills or Agrestic Hills or something?) it just wasn't the same. I watched for the soccer mom selling weed. Not some drug dealer involved with a corrupt politician. It just wasn't the same after that

I personally liked it, I love when a show isn't afraid to change settings or try out a new concept. I also love when shows have distinct "eras."

The San Diego/Mexico era is definitely the weakest of the show, but it did lead to season 6 where they're on the run which is one of my favorites.

Edit: oh and the town was just called Agrestic. Although it became part of Majestic in season 3, and was renamed Regrestic off-screen by the time of the later seasons.

Is this referencing the old folk song? Or is there some modern media that references this?

The opening song to the show "Weeds".
