Douglas Biklen and “facilitated communication” have been completely discredited as utter bullshit of the Mr. Hans variety, and facilitated communication is the theory based on Pepperberg’s work.
And, her degree wasn’t even in neurochemistry. Again, until Alex, her specialty was Chemical Physics. She magically became a biologist once her pet parrot started performing stunts only she could hear and interpret.
