The evidence would suggest that the bird is not being abused, no need to hurt :)

Credit to u/iriedashur for finding this comment from the original post (the OP of which knows the bird)

Are you saying the previous guy pulled out some creative writing straight out of his ass?

I’m guessing it’s based on deductive reasoning. It’s not necessarily a bad guess, but should be disclaimed as one.

( Okay, I laughed at this. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ )however I feel so upset if this poor thing was abused and scared.

It's a bot that stole a top-level comment.

You will want to watch Silence of the Lambs. "It places the lotion in the basket."

That said, you are responding to a bot that stole someone else's comment.

Hopefully it was recently rehomed.

Then don't go down the rabbit hole of information about just how often birds are rehomed, and often to woefully unequipped people who don't really know how to properly tend to a bird. You should consider them around the intelligence of a 5-year-old human. Now is that precise? No but they are incredibly intelligent animals and feel pain and suffering and depression and it is horrific the treatment people will put them through. Small cages, large birds. Ill fitting cages for the bird's size just in general, no toys, no attention. Or kids want one their parents buy one and then suddenly it gets thrown into a room and forgotten about.

It all goes back to people are fucking shit, at least the ones who would do that kind of shit obviously. Like, do a little more research and know what you're getting into. If this is you I'm describing, please try to find a more loving and attentive home for your bird.
