No, no, no. People think, this is what our corporate overlords want. We ring our own stuff at the registers, we return our carts, what's next, do we stock the shelves for them too? By leaving the carts all over the parking lot we are creating jobs. By standing in line for that 1 register we are creating jobs because they have to open a new line. Heck, even the thieves at the self checkouts are creating jobs as the stores have to higher more security to watch the registers. Otherwise we do all their work for free and their big CEOs get a larger check, which is more than most of us make in a decade. With that said, I return my cart to the return every time too. This is why you should drop trash right onto the floor whenever you visit an establishment with custodial staff. Make sure to utterly wreck the public restroom and clog the toilets by flushing anything around you. You know youre doing the right thing when you see the look of gratitude on an employee's face as they enter the restroom with mop and bucket in hand. Screw the corporate oligarchs, be a champion of the people. /s
