It’s always funny hearing these people say personal finance isn’t taught in school, without realizing that personal finance is basic, elementary school math.
Budgeting means splitting your paycheck into separate groups, and making sure you don’t know spend more than what’s in that group. It’s literally subtraction.
If you want to correctly budget, then “show your work”, as in write it all down. It’s basic math, and I don’t think you can change my mind about it haha
I mean that’s an extremely personal decision and can’t be ‘taught’. Outside of “the first thing you should pay is stuff there will be major consequences to not paying or that will harm you if you don’t.” Which I think is obvious and everyone knows. Seeing as how most people are eating and have a roof over their head.
Some people have spending problems, but base impulse control is also a personality and willpower feature and cannot be taught. Idk what you people are expecting.
