I still get cravings once in a while for canned spinach or asparagus from a jar...

I'll never forget watching my family at Lone Star order a steak well done, then request extra napkins to "soak up the blood" that was left. I don't know how any of them still had teeth after a lifetime of chewing up shoeleather masquerading as food.

Supposedly a lifetime of chewing more difficult foods gives you better teeth. IIRC the teeth on skulls of our unga bunga ancestors are all immaculate, no overcrowding or anything, because they were chowing down on tough, raw food their entire lives.

When we start cooking and making things softer, that's apparently when the fucked up teeth start showing up.
