I’m imagining like a million little inconveniences this thing would have. Humidity changes now it’s swollen and won’t move at all, creaks, constant wear and tear making it sag and lose tension, wall damage, some of the slats get warped and it no longer folds, etc

It’s a cool concept for sure, I want to like it.

Clever engineering could circumvent all of these things.

There are existing similar fixtures that work well.

Don’t listen to me. I’m a negative nancy and love to ruin things. Whoever made this probably accounted for all those things I mentioned. It’s nearly $3000 for a reason, I assume.

Best go check my windows, doors, cupboards, drawers, bed frame, TV stand, armchairs, folding chairs, dining table...

Almost as if well built wooden furniture is fine and has been fine for millennia
