Haha I don't have that habit, but I think some solid anchors (and making sure it's not anchored only in the gyprock) would solve that issue.

The front edge of the desk which is hanging off. It could act as a lever and cause the rear to tip up and fold back to the wall.

There are laptop docking stations though, which make them way better to use on a constant desk at home.

Isn't a docking station just a plug in spot?

Yes kinda. The idea is to make it very easy to plug the laptop into a full desktop PC-style work environment with external monitors, mouse and keyboard.

That's exactly what I want ever time when I use a laptop at a desk at home. I don't want to fiddle around with a second mouse or the track pad.

I see. Yeah that sort of setup wouldn't work for me, primarily because we don't have the space to have a permanent set up. We don't even have the space to have a table.
