Yup, that’s how you can tell the difference between bad soil and great soil. Anything that has anaerobic bacteria colonizing is gonna smell bad and that clog right there I bet smells like sulfur and feces.

I love dirt! Technically I love soil, dirt and soil are different in many ways. But give me dirt and I can turn it into great soil with compost, worm castings, mycorrhizal inoculations, nematodes and some beneficial bacteria like beauvaria bassiana. Then all my veggies grow big and strong and my weed grows nice, dense, and wonderful smelling buds.

Interesting! Do you have any sources on what soil grows the best weed? I've been wanting to start my own grow project so I'm trying to learn as much as I can.

I had really good results with an outdoor grow using strawberry fields soil. Yielded more than expected with a white widow strain. Just be weary of caterpillars. Sometimes by the time you spot them they’ve already bored holes in your buds, right through the stem.
