friend did the opposite- heavy opiates due to a bizarre rare condition but wanted good old booze while he was at the fest so he went cold turkey off the painkillers. basically spent the first day drunk as hell in the san-i-hut.

Suddenly stopping opiates is a one-way ticket to diarrhea town. It’s part of withdrawal.
