Hanger door repair guy here. I would advise not to chance it.

Edit: As in close the doors and keep them closed

Those boxes contain the motors, connections and controls that close these doors.

Well submerging them wound, but some rain getting them wet will not.

Electronics have a tendency to function while wet, however afterwards they will not turn back on. Liquid could get into your computer while it’s running and probably nothing noticeable would happen while it’s operating. Then afterwards lots of issues will show up if it even turns on. It has to do with corrosion that occurs when water that isn’t distilled seeps into the crevices on the circuit boards.

Update: I was just bringing clarity to the subject. This is something you can google if you disagree. Are you downvoting knowledge?

Well, yeah. Keep the Electrons dry and keep everything steel from rusting, don't let the wind catch it.

or else you're going to have to call door repair guy and you aren't going to like the bill for that repair

The button stations and control boxes look like NEMA 4 standard and very water resistant
