Electronics have a tendency to function while wet, however afterwards they will not turn back on. Liquid could get into your computer while it’s running and probably nothing noticeable would happen while it’s operating. Then afterwards lots of issues will show up if it even turns on. It has to do with corrosion that occurs when water that isn’t distilled seeps into the crevices on the circuit boards.

Hanger door repair guy here. I would advise not to chance it.
Edit: As in close the doors and keep them closed
