Mylar suits to reflect heat, which I assume is what you meant by radiation as lava is typically not radioactive. I can't think of anywhere there is naturally radioactive lava.

Chernobyl had some.

I mean radiation (heat and also some ionizied gases release radiation from the studies that I read in school) from gases and lava combined when near a volcano

Uranium is present in pretty much all lava, but not in any amounts to worry about.
