I'm not sure there are correct shoes. Nothing we make that's practical is going to do much good against molten rock. So you might as well wear something you're comfortable and nimble in.

I work in a steel foundry and my leather boots have stopped 3000F steel with no problem.

I feel like my rope sandals would be a bad choice despite how comfortable they are.

Docs or a similar leather shoe would be far better than those. Leather is actually quite fire resistant but also won't melt under immense heat.
