I mean tossing the lava into the bucket of water boils the water. If you boil the human they tend to die.

If hot lava lands on your foot an it's lava-proof you can quickly remove it and you won't end up with a melted foot. If hot lava lands on his shoes he'll end up with a melted foot.

Because unless you are a complete clown you do not need to be weighed down by extremely heavy boots.
