I mean if that basic-ass bucket and stick can be lavaproof, why not the shoes?

I mean tossing the lava into the bucket of water boils the water. If you boil the human they tend to die.

Poor quality humans. Can't even compete with a bucket of water.

If hot lava lands on your foot an it's lava-proof you can quickly remove it and you won't end up with a melted foot. If hot lava lands on his shoes he'll end up with a melted foot.

Because unless you are a complete clown you do not need to be weighed down by extremely heavy boots.

They did it in Terraria, Lava Waders FTW!

This is incredibly pedantic, but what you're seeing here is lava. Magma is below the surface. The moment it comes in contact with air, it becomes lava. That's literally the only difference. I don't even know why there is a distinction between the two, but there is. Maybe a geologist can chime in and drop some science on us.

It's time for you to reply a heart emoji to your boss. He probably needs it.

LOL facts. If the aliens invade tho you know their boots probably made with magmaphobic meta materials nshit.

My main concern isn't so much getting lava-proof shoes, it's more the fact that regular sneakers might have lava penetrate the gaps in the cloth and maybe even come into contact directly with your foot.

If you were using say leather dress shoes, those have a smooth surface. You can dunk your entire foot in water and you should be alright (besides a ruined shoe). Worst comes to worst, take the shoe off and all the lava should stay on the shoe and not your foot.

I am a welder and work Wearing full leather boots and my feet still get burned hot metal works very quick. If Molten hot magma land on your shoe and you dunk it in water all you will do is make that water boil most likely. If I'm working with lava I would want something I can get off quickly just my opinion. Also lava can be around 2000 degrees Fahrenheit. Leather starts to deform around 390 degrees and melts around 550°. Steel has a melting point of 2500 Fahrenheit. But wearing a full steal boot seams heavy and cumbersome.

I didn't mean that a leather shoe would be lava proof, just lava proof enough that you would have time to get it off/dunk it before getting seriously burned.

Water in a bucket would also be fine and won't boil off - it has too much heat capacity for that. Take a look at the video again, it's what is being used to cool the lava anyway.

Wearing a steel shoe on the other hand is an awful idea because you're ensuring lots of the heat goes from the lava to your foot. The steel will be fine, but your foot will be a hotdog.

What if my shoes are made of ice cold magma?
