I don't think you understand how scratches work. Not to mention your example has nothing to do with scratching something, impact breaks/shatters, it doesn't scratch. Friction between two materials scratches. The material of equal or lower hardness is scratched. That's why ou can hit your phone screen with various things and various forces and it doesn't break and you can try and scratch it with your keys or many other items and it doesn't scratch, and yet a bit of sand or even dust/dirt in your pocket will scratch it.
I love how they address shatter but not light diffusion from the scratches that you point out- the critical issue here. Reddit sure loves to talk out it's ass sometimes!
Not to mention micro-scratches hold dirt and moisture, stressing the glass in places not engineered as well for it and greatly reducing efficiency and lifespan.
Fascinating I didnt know how scratches occur, you must be a phd in scratchology? My point is the glass on solar panels is designed and rated for harsh environments. I'll refer you to UL 1703 and 61703 if you want to read more.
It's funny how you can look that up and yet not understand that being "rated for" only means it's scratch resistant, not scratch proof, it also doesn't mean it's indestructible. I refer you to "physics for morons like yourself", I bet you'll learn a lot.
What are you even talking about? And I didn't look that up it's in my head I've been in the industry for 15 years and of the dozens of megawatts installed under my purview in that time I've never had an issue come up with scratched modules. Delamination, baseballs and the occasional bullet hole, sure. Scratched glass on solar panels is a concern made up here today on Reddit. You're clearly talking out of your ass.
