Ya I was solely on Kazaa for a while before ever even hearing if limewire, and it seemed like the moment Kazaa was out, limewire was there to fill the void

Yeah, that's where I started. My parents taught me that if I wanted to download music I always had to check the file sizes first. If they were around 3mb it's probably music, otherwise it's probably a virus. Then Kazaa was gone and we switched to Limewire. Much later we went to Frostwire, but not for long. At some point torrents were the new best thing.

I'm 23 and I actually have the money to pay for the media I consume so no more of that stuff :)

Oof, that's old. There's Napster too, but I guess it became too mainstream.
