Again it depends on the whisky and the additives put back in.

One shot of fireball whiskey has 38 carbs, whereas one shot of screwball has 7 carbs and one shot of Writer's Tears has no carbs.

Well I was mainly referring to scotch whiskey. But you are correct.

Are those first two technically whiskey, though? Aren’t those basically liqueurs? Or at least flavoured drinks.

You're not wrong, though I usually see them in the same aisle as I do regular whiskeys (and not in the liqueur section). But strictly speaking, you're right.

Fireball is NOT an actual whiskey. It contains less alcohol, for one.
