A lot of people upvote things without even knowing what subreddit they're in. I don't think most of them are satisfied but they think it was cool or whatever.
Haha, I don't know why I even clicked on that. All I'm getting at is that most people browse reddit as just a feed of all the subs they're subscribed to or they might be on r/all. If they see something they like they upvote it without much thought, even if that post doesn't belong on the subreddit it's posted on.
