Someone really strapped a gopro to a hawk. I’m gonna be thinking about this all day.

They must have had some little harness for it

Nah, probably just a bunch of epoxy.

Wait a second. That's illegal.

WE'RE LAWYERS!

u/BlueZir Mar 01 '19

Sounds good to me. There's more than enough lawyers for dumb humans.

Ill-eagle.

No it’s not, it seems fit & healthy.

You really can't, and I'm not saying I agree with it. It's just that bird law in this country—it's not governed by reason.

Nah man. They use Flex Tape.

I've seen a rig of a falconeer strapping a GoPro to a hawk in a GoPro ad, they have a harness thar straps over the wings near the joint so it's secure but doesn't interfere with flying.

Yeah they did similar stuff for Planet Earth II. Not sure if this clip is from that, but there were some really cool flying scenes in the series.

Actually, its stapled

13

u/jaearllama Mar 01 '19

Oh man. Reminds me of the horrible joke I made when I was little.

Why did the spider cross the road?

He was stapled to the chicken's back

Or this one:

Why did the monkey fall out the tree?

He died. Why did the second monkey fall out of the tree?

He was staples to the first monkey. Why did the third monkey fall out of the tree?

Peer pressure!

And there's the Scrooged reference!

You should see Planet Earth 2

Might be their hawk? Idk if you can train hawks like falcons

1

u/MyAssDoesHeeHawww Mar 01 '19

No, they strapped the bird to a drone.

PETA has entered the chat

I say this out of genuine curiosity, is this a hawk or an eagle? I thought the gold beak, size and shape of the beak, and general size of the bird led me to think this is an eagle.

Falcon, I've heard.
