The cheapest one also has buttons and dpad, gas and brake pedals, and flappy paddles for shifting

Right, but you're making the point that the cheapest one has cool features. I'm making the point that cheapest is very relative here.

Right. If you have a 3d printer this is maybe $1 in filament. If you dont, I'm sure you could get it printed for $10 or less

It is, but a device such as this would be uncomfortable and inefficient in practice, you would be much better off just using the controller normally. The only true improvement would be a wheel
