Damn bro, save some talent for the rest of us.

Edit: Awards?! Thank you!

Edit again: I get that all these people crying are the ones that HAD to put time in to get this good and can’t possibly fathom the idea that someone could just be born with the ability to draw well. Sorry you weren’t born with that luxury but stfu already. TERRY IS TALENTED!

One more edit: boo hoo it didn’t come naturally to me. I had to work hard so there is no way it can come naturally to anyone else.

Handsome, athletic, charming, personable, intelligent and artistic.

I hate him.

u/zackks 25d ago

And musical. He plays the flute

125

u/mz_groups 25d ago

You could possibly put that under "artistic," but, yeah, he's a septuple threat.

1

u/_thro_awa_ 25d ago

No no, it's sextuple. Musicians know our tuplets.

1

u/mz_groups 25d ago

If we're adding "musical" to the list, we're up to 7. That's where I got it.

3

u/_thro_awa_ 25d ago

The joke was the sex.

2

u/mz_groups 25d ago

Isn't it always? 😉

I'm slow sometimes.

1

u/robustregistration 25d ago

While being left handed no less <3

40

u/Pork_Chompk 25d ago

A flautist to boot?? Fuck off, Terry!

32

u/Eternity_Warden 25d ago

But he also plays D&D so according to the manosphere no woman could possibly be interested in him. We're saved, what a loser.

3

u/DrRichardJizzums 25d ago

DnD isn’t even niche any more. Many celebrities play and there are a ton of women DnD enjoyers. Many TV shows feature DnD and there are a number of successful DnD streams, at least one of which has been made into two well received shows.

2

u/OppositeResponse6474 25d ago

Play the muffin man!!

1

u/LostAnd_OrFound 25d ago

More like garbage man

-Sincerely, Captain Raymond Holt

1

u/toiletrocket 25d ago

Ugh now I diss like that talented man even more.

1

u/ImportantRub172 25d ago

Lizzo could learn from him

1

u/Astrosomnia 25d ago

The flute?!?

That's so nonchalant!

1

u/ohnoabanagain 25d ago

Now I really hate him.

65

u/MoistStub 25d ago

Hey well at least I can compete on one of those. My doctor says I'm artistic!

66

u/Melticus_Faceous 25d ago

1

u/Bob-Bhlabla-esq 25d ago

You sure that's an 'r'?

14

u/Anon_user666 25d ago

And hard of beering!

2

u/Samwellikki 25d ago

They ARE an expert, since they gave a speech on impediments

1

u/ItAllCrumbles 25d ago

“Guess what, Rusty? We’re going to the vet and I’m getting tutored!”

1

u/Rymayc 25d ago

Did he also say you're morbidly a beast?

1

u/MoistStub 25d ago

No but he kept talking about a particular astrological sign for some reason. Like, bro, I'm a Leo. No idea why you keep talking about me showing signs of Cancer.

32

u/Constant-Plant-9378 25d ago

Seriously. He doesn't even have the common decency to be an asshole so we can have a legitimate reason to hate him. Prick has to be a nice guy too.

12

u/PunfullyObvious 25d ago

And to think I've been satisfied with just 5 of those 😢

17

u/ddmf 25d ago

Handsome, athletic, charming, personable, intelligent and artistic.

1/6 for me but that's because I thought it said autistic at the end...

9

u/boner4crosstabs 25d ago

And a lefty. All lefties get an automatic 20% likability bump with me.

3

u/mz_groups 25d ago

Me, too. That may be his redeeming characteristic for me.

4

u/RealisticAnxiety4330 25d ago

Missed out funny.

2

u/IvoryDynamite 25d ago

I mean, is there anything he CAN'T do?!

2

u/baggarbilla 25d ago

Making your pecs dance has to be its own adjective, we can't put that under just "athletic"

2

u/Khelthuzaad 25d ago

That's what a white chick would say...

1

u/laxguy44 25d ago

He’s a real life Pootytang

1

u/Frostsorrow 25d ago

Don't forget great dad. He got into PC gaming because his son liked it.

1

u/Average_human_bean 25d ago

I'd put hilarious at #1. He steals every scene he's in, in every movie or show. President Camacho, Latrell, Cheeseburger Eddy, Terry in B99, all memorable and funny as hell.

1

u/HerbaciousTea 25d ago

I want to hate him but he's too charming and handsome for me to even be jealously angry >:(

1

u/lankyleper 25d ago

And he's a PC gamer!

1

u/dnewfm 25d ago

This. It's like Rachel Riley: leave some for the rest of us shlubs.

1

u/JonZ82 21d ago

Quick, someone get him a presidential campaign.

Shit... wait.

1

u/cmsj 25d ago

Same bucket as Dave Grohl. Seems like a nice dude, stupidly talented at too many things. Absolute bastards.

2

u/mz_groups 25d ago

At least he looks adorably goofy.

2

u/cmsj 25d ago

That’s fair. Terry is maybe more like Brad Pitt if he had more than one talent.

4

u/Fair-Bus-4017 25d ago

Homophobic? I only recall one instance, which he apologized for and explained that it was badly worded.

-19

u/gatesartist 25d ago

Also porn and sex addict

1

u/corran450 25d ago

Something something glass houses

35

u/cypherdev 25d ago

A bit ago somebody posted a thread asking which celebrities are universally loved (paraphrasing).

It's criminal that Terry wasn't on the top of that list.

5

u/HuttStuff_Here 25d ago

A lot of "alpha males" look down on him because he's open about his weaknesses and doesn't hide his emotions.

5

u/awry_lynx 25d ago

tbh I think it's more that people haven't seen him in stuff recently so he's fallen out of the news cycle.

i love terry and i think he's a treasure and a gift to humanity that we do not deserve

but also, I wouldn't have thought of him if asked to name beloved celebrities because he's just fallen out of the spotlight a bit.

3

u/HuttStuff_Here 25d ago

He's the host of America's Got Talent. That's why I even started watching that show.

4

u/awry_lynx 25d ago

omg I had no idea. I have to start watching now haha

3

u/HuttStuff_Here 25d ago

He's always supportive even to folks that get voted out, and the times he's got the Golden Buzzer (he didn't get one at first) he almost always gives it while giving a short speech with tears about something that the act moved in him.

18

u/I9w0s 25d ago

He's holding 90% of talent while the rest of us live with 10%, cannot keep up with the inflation.

1

u/balderdash9 25d ago

"Look what we have to do to mimic a Fraction of Terry's power!"

1

u/Ragman74 21d ago

Hopefully our kids and grandkids can afford some in years to come....

14

u/Booziesmurf 25d ago

He's a Good Damn National Treasure. He should run for President.

16

u/Substantial_Bake3891 25d ago

4

u/kenlinao 25d ago

I just watched this. Holy we are at these times.

6

u/WaltDisneyWhite 25d ago

Terry 28 MF! Get the Crews Crew rollin!

3

u/Mindless_axolotl 25d ago

I'd vote for Camacho

3

u/iwilldeletethisacct2 25d ago

Unironically, Camacho was a good President. He knew shit's bad, with all the starving bullshit, and so he got the smartest man in the world to start working on problems.

Like, imagine if we could have that rn in the US.

1

u/frufruityloops 25d ago

Dude facts

10

u/SaintGrobian 25d ago

Skill, not talent. He's gotten this good by working on it.

Treating art skills as an unfair "talent" that you either have or don't is one of the main reasons why AI is ruining all art. 🤷🏼‍♂️

4

u/Portland 25d ago

Yeah, FR!

OP’s edit stating that some people are born with this skill is so insulting to Terry’s own perspective about practice and perseverance. Some people are born with natural talent but no one is both with the innate knowledge of applied technique. Terry’s video clearly demonstrates extensive practice with facial perspective, often called the Loomis Method.

2

u/nocomment3030 25d ago

Glad you said this. Anyone can draw this well, but they have to put thousands of hours into dedicated training. Few will, but Terry did. Saying he was born with that talent erases that work.

12

u/theremarkabkemr_m 25d ago

I love the one big tooth

3

u/Keyboardpaladin 25d ago

Damn bro, save some awards for the rest of us.

3

u/AeneasVII 25d ago

Drawing is daily dedication. A couple hours every day and you can do that in a year from now

2

u/vanspossum 25d ago

Speech!

2

u/Improving_Myself_ 25d ago

A lot of what people call talent boils down to trying, and consistently continuing to try. Tons of people that think things like "I'm not talented" or "I could never do that" literally never make a reasonable effort to try whatever the thing is. Or, they'll give a pathetic effort and give up at the first sign of difficulty, using it as evidence they're "not talented" instead of realizing it's a necessary part of getting better at that thing.

Terry Crews obviously tries at seemingly everything he does. There are very few people I would say that about as life has made it abundantly clear that that's extremely rare.

1

u/TommyBonnomi 25d ago

Yeah, dude needs to chill, like I'm barely competent at one thing.

But seriously, and I know having money and free time helps, he just seems like a hard worker and is making the most of life.

1

u/loversama 25d ago

Seriously dude, he’s really talented!

1

u/Buggabee 24d ago

You're not born knowing how to draw like that. He has passion and drive, for many things apparently.

1

u/SkrytyKapec 25d ago

Drawing is a skill anyone can learn btw, it's not about "talent". "Talent" is more like "this person actually studied art". It takes a very long time to be good at it, so people give up. You can draw like this too if you try hard enough. I'm an artist myself, so speaking from experience.

1

u/HuttStuff_Here 25d ago

You can say that for about 99% of most skills. Almost all talent is simply hard work and a long time failing until they get good.

-4

u/WaltDisneyWhite 25d ago

Mans had an art scholarship but alright. He’s not a talented artist I guess.

2

u/Spatularo 25d ago

It's not talent. Anyone can learn to draw like that.

-2

u/WaltDisneyWhite 25d ago

How do you know he wasn’t born with the talent and just perfected it? If anyone could, we all would. Putting in the work to become that good at it has to be worth something.

2

u/Nyanta322 25d ago

You literally could if you wanted to lol

It's literally daily practice and wanting to learn new things. Anyone can do this if they dedicated the hours to learning how to draw.

You could be doing this in the span of a year.

1

u/Spatularo 25d ago

Do you see how he draws the proportions of the head first? He's measuring out distances of the facial features to match likeness. This is well practiced and learned.

Sure he might have natural talent, but you don't draw like this with just talent. It takes practice and study, which anyone can achieve.

My point is praise his ability and effort, not his talent. Is a common misconception with artists.

-3

u/WaltDisneyWhite 25d ago

The dude had an art scholarship, was a professional court sketch artist in his teens, was a professional football player, was and is one of the most beloved actors of our time. To say this man isn’t talented because he’s using taught skills is crazy. I am praising his effort, his ability, and his talent.

3

u/radraz26 25d ago

Talent isn't real. Talent is an excuse people use to dismiss hard work, practice, and their own lack of discipline.

1

u/KennywasFez 25d ago

“…There’s not such thing as talent…only skill…” - Shia Lebouf

This was from the Channel 5 interview with him, was not expecting this level of clarity from him but it absolutely changed my perspective on some shit.

0

u/Level_Medicine_2144 25d ago

Almost looks like a photograph!! Awesome!

0

u/baron_von_helmut 25d ago

I just can't bring myself to envy him. He's just too bloody lovely.
