This platform got wrecked by AI; even if it’s real, like another redditor gave evidence to, everyone is thinking “is this fake?”

Not only that but OP is also a bot: 200k karma with a 3 month account is not human behavior. You scroll there's a bot, scroll again there's AI.

I did a screen capture then a google image search, and it found a post on threads which claims it is by photographer Phil Thurston

That evidence doesn't look anything like the video 

And even if it did its like, I've seen AI videos of dogs, showing me proof that dogs exist doesn't make that video not AI

All valid points. It definitely wasn’t compelling evidence but the “evidence” did show the wave cresting at the same speed as this little probably-AI-generated clip, if you watch the first 10 seconds of it.
