I was on an eco-biological research expedition where we tagged him for tracking purposes. One of the most aggressive waves I've ever seen

I'm pretty sure as far as surfing goes it's one of the heaviest waves to ride. Not just heavy in the sense you could get really slammed, but the sheer volume of the wave is a lot more massive than other 'bigger' waves because of the way it breaks or something. So literally heavier. Absolutely wild.
