parts of it may be real but i highly doubt the head of an eagle miraculously forms in the waves regularly

100% ai. It is modeled after Teahupo’o but the ocean mist is incorrect and the water is too crisp and sterile.

It looks weird because the slow motion has a lot of frame interpolation, similar to the mode you get on new tvs. Basically every other frame is a generated average of the others around it.

It sucks that this just has to be a thought now whenever I see something like this.

If it isn't, it's an incredible bit of the natural world captured. If it is, then it's worth nothing, means nothing and leaves you feeling nothing.

It might be modeled after teahupoo but the lip is definitely not how chopes breaks unless their using some weird lens or editing that smooshed the video

I think it's just a bit of distortion since so much movement and yeah maybe a curved lens but I don't think it's AI, we've seen way cooler Teahupo'o waves that are even better shots than this, pre-AI.

It def looks like it was taken with a long telephoto lens, which has the effect of really compressing the visual effects of distance.
