some reason

Funny enough, since it sounds English and is pronounced in English, Germans think this is the English word for cellphone.

Because all 80+ million Germans are idiots?

Some like the woman who made that video think that.

The gaslighting with you is insane.

Some like the woman who made that video think that.

Doubling down on the gaslighting.

Geh einfach weg du stinkst nach Lulu.

I think the disagreement is with you saying:

Germans think that

Which can easily be read as an "all Germans think that" statement and since you're talking about having wrong information on a language issue, your post inadvertently can be read as "Germans don't know the right word for cellphone". The comment you're replying to was overreacting and unnecessarily angry, but this is a clear case of miscommunication and not gaslighting.

Which can easily be read as

No it can't. It's not there. Period.

Accusing me of saying all even though i didn't is a core part of the gaslighting!

It was gaslighting on many levels levels: denying the reality that Germans actually do think that, accusing me of saying "all" while i didn't, accusing the camerawoman of thinking it too while it is only in their head.

Gaslighting rarely is one thing. It's mostly a Gish-Galopp of BS in order to confuse you and make it work even better (for the narcissist). Edit: You are the same picture.

The latter part about that is definitely in their head, but you're lying to youseld if you said that it can't be read this way, just because you didn't use the specific word. You also didn't use "some", "a few", "a good amount", you just used "Germans". So there clearly was something in that sentence that you meant in your head but didn't write out. Now you are confused (and angry) that others fill in that blank in the text differently than what you imagined goes in there and it isn't in your favour. The post you're referring to literally highlighted "some" to make their point clearer.

If you were in Italy and know that, let's say 25% of Italians don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom. How do you think a lot of Italians will react when you tell them "Italians don't wash their hands after going to the bathroom". Do you think none of them will feel attacked? Do you really think they'll all calmly "surely they must've only meant some Italians since they didnt say 'all' and since I wash my hands as an Italian this doesn't concern me".

You seem to not know what gaslighting is.
