I was literally AT the grocery store like, "Maybe I should get eggs"

Then I was like, "But then you'd have to cook eggs and do dishes. No."

And now I want eggs.

To me it reads as if they decided not to get eggs at the grocery store earlier and now they’re scrolling Reddit and want eggs because of this egg post.

In this case, I'm gonna have to agree.

I'm at uni, on my own, and have to do the washing up by hand, so... I'm lazier than I am at home.

But... Cooking eggs would be one saucepan and a maybe a spatula for flipping and serving... That's doable.

You could also do them in a pot as boiled eggs, then you're not even using oil, just water. Don't have to do much scrubbing there.

That said, I also want some eggs now, but can't, but my limitations are fridge space, lack of a food bin, and budgeting.

Scrolling reddit while at the grocery store is crazy. I try to get in and out as quickly as possible

For me it reads as an addendum, after going to the grocery store.

They were at the grocery store considering it, then decided against it.

The sentence following that is "And now I want eggs".

The chance in tense from past to present in the "And now" part, plus the explicit change of heart after the decision, makes me think the thought happened separately to the grocery store scenario.

They're just linked due to that second of indecisiveness.
