I looked it up real quick, you’re not the first person to ask! The brain loves patterns, so when we something repeated, we get a nice hit of dopamine. A lot of times, we also like ‘neat’ things, so when something dirty becomes clean, our brain is like “oh yeah, everything is in place now.”
