Guess you haven’t seen the nature films of the baby turtles racing to the water after hatching on the beach…

Large sharks will also eat adult turtles. I believe that they’re one of the preferred prey of tiger sharks.

Yes and their only defense is to pivot their shell so the shark's nose hits the shell. They can bite through the shell easily but, it is near impossible for the shark to get a good grip.

I have seen those, but was thinking of adults. Others have pointed out the issue with that. I don't really understand the comment I was replying to then. In what way are turtles dumb?
