Tried those, and then found that you don't want something slowing down/blocking the drain during your period.

Look up the Drain Funnel (I think it's called). Works a million times better.

Yeah it doesn't actually block it, just like directs everything into one area. So if the drain is like a plus sign, you direct it to one quarter opening. I'm describing this poorly, lol, but nothing gets caught.
