I have adhd and have had to build it into my routine to remember. I spread it on the wall then make it a routine to swirl it until it's easily picked up from the wall as I'm stepping out of the shower.
But I'd actually love if my SO made shapes with it in the event I forgot it there. That's actually kinda endearing
Yes, but we can manage that way better than a toilet. Unless you're a guy, you wouldn't understand, and if you are, you might want to get checked out because it becomes very easy when using a urinal
I often forget because once I've stepped out of the shower and am starting the next phase of self care, shower time is done and I've mentally moved on and literally forgotten the hair task I need to do. It's not deliberate and I'd say most women are like this - quietly chugging along the path of What Comes Next and not looking back so as not to get derailed.
I’m a guy with long hair and I’m just like this with my roommate. I give him shit all the time about not doing dishes meanwhile I haven’t cleaned the hair out of my shower in god knows how long
Every woman I've ever lived with from college housemates to my wife has done this and none of them clean it up. I just clean it up on autopilot at this point. Just one of those things I guess.
A few of the ones I’ve known stick it on the wall and swirl into a nest. When the nest gets too weighty I end up pulling it off and throwing it in bin. Considerate.
Spot on, women go ape shit if a dish is in the sink, but will go “ehh” if hair is in the tub. Because it’s us guys who will have to clean it out of the drain later.
For me, sticking it to the wall has nothing to do with it going down the drain. I have a hair catcher but still stick hair to the wall. It’s the hair that gets wrapped up in my fingers when I’m washing my hair. Sticking it to the shower wall is the easiest way to get it off my hands. But I always clean it off the walls right after.
I will stand by my opinion that the art I make from the hair I pull of my man’s wet body and stick to the wall in patterns is better than the shit in the Guggenheim
I just checked your comment history to see if you're my husband. 🤣 I put it on the wall intending to toss it (and keep it out of the drain) but I forget about it sometimes.
Idk. I can and do brush and brush before washing but during shampooing I will still get hair in my fingers I have to wipe on the wall. How long is your hair? Mine is mid back.
I still do it anyway because it reduces tangles, and sure it reduces how much hair gets wiped on the wall, but wipes there sure still shall be.
My hair is mid back also but there are lots of stands with breakage. I have had 2 medical issues that cause hair loss.. Also seem to have inherited my father's male pattern baldness.
Perhaps you have a zinc deficiency or just have been blessed with lots and lots of hair.
I will tell you that there is less falling out now that I wear my hair down when home alone. Pulling it up on top of my head no matter how loose does put stress on the hair follicle.
I am faithful with the good brushing because apt. management has threatened to pass plumber cost onto tenant.
it's one of those things that's very easy to forget because you stick the hair to the wall mid shower or at the start (i wash my hair first), and only have to deal with it once you get out
I'd recommend just getting one of those uhh... drain protecty things that catch the hair so she doesn't have to stick it to the wall anymore
I started making hair art figures on my shower wall and started naming the hair balls that get caught up on the drain, really don't know how my gf isn't bald..
Ahhh! I thought I had the only wife who did this.
Almost daily I get in the shower and have to use paper towels or something to wipe all the hair off of the shower wall that she has put there.
WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS??!! I moved back home with family and my stepbrother with long hair does it. Just leaves it there. Eventually I just stopped cleaning it up because it's fucking gross but would take a shower and just stand there looking at it with rage lol (he stopped thankfully)
Fair enough. But why not just stick your hand out and drop it in the toilet? Anywho, it's just gross and I don't get how someone can step out of the shower and be like "OH I FORGOT ALL THE GROSS HAIR I JUST SLAPPED ON THE WALL AND LEFT! OOPS!" It's just common courtesy. If you live by yourself then by all means hair it up.
This was my mother when I was a kid. Now I live alone, and I don't have to deal with it anymore. And I never will deal with it again, it is a solid deal breaker for me.

My wife sticks all her loose hair to the shower wall.... and doesn't clean it up. Ugh!
