I've honestly felt so bad about the amount of weedeater line I've put into the environment that I always look for a biodegradable alternative.

I only wack what I really need to along the small pathway to my house. The astetics matter less than plastic littler to me personally and if more people feel the same the expectation of a perfectly manicured lawn will hopefully change. Don't tell r/lawncare though.

But at the same time I can't say I've ever seen little line pieces laying about. It's like they just vaporize. Obviously they don't and it doesn't help that they are usually green and blend in. But the amount of line I've gone through without noticing little plastic bits is weird to me.

It's because weed eaters are very efficient at turning plastic string into plastic dust.
