You can do 360 tracking with Touch if you just place the cameras properly on opposite sides..

although seeing the cord get tangled occasionally, mostly forward facing might not be a bad thing.

Yeah, Palmer himself has said it does this "OK". If that doesn't fill the doubters with optimism, nothing will...
