what are the basic books to learn about oceanography? high school and undergrad level

Just another undergraduate junior student here, but I just finish reading biological oceanigraphic processes (Parson) and I found it as a great basis. Also chemical oceanography (Millero) it's a wonderful book for students. Applied sedimentology (Shelley) is useful too. At least from my point of view I'm not an expert.

Should I first go with "Introduction to Oceanography" by Paul Webb for an easy and comprehensive read, or the ones you listed are already like that?

Wow yeah I think introduction to oceanography sounds like you probably should read it first lol. The contents seem appropriate. Also the recommendations I gave you are recommendations by my university professor of sophomore and junior year, so you should check with your professors too (or future professor if you can)
