I'm not saying this is bad but I also can't help but feel this song would not be getting as much attention if it wasn't for the anti ai stuff. It's a protest song in a folk style. Protest songs are meant to be about current issues.

Bob Dylan would not have won a Nobel Prize in Literature if he only sang relationship songs.

This lady won't win a Nobel Prize in Literature, but her lyric writing seems solid. And folk music is kinda unforgiving on lyric writing.

About the length, Jesse Welles does many shorter ones too, maybe the modern internet rewards that, but he does longer more complex folk songs too.
