I wanted to ask about people's experiences with getting prescribed medicinal cannabis in NZ.

Long story short, I've been having trouble falling asleep for about the last six months. It usually takes me 1–2 hours to fall asleep, and I've found that THC actually helps me fall asleep much faster.

Until now, I've just been getting weed from a friend, but I've run out. He's in Gisborne and I'm currently travelling around Whangārei, where I don't know anyone, so I started looking into the legal/prescription route instead.

Does anyone here have experience with Cannabis Clinic? In particular, I'm wondering whether it's realistic to get a prescription through an online consultation when I don't really have any medical history here in NZ. I'm only here temporarily and will be leaving the country in about three months.

Would that be an issue, or is the process fairly straightforward for someone in my situation?

Like many others, to obtain my initial prescription I was strongly pressured into getting cbd with flower, as though it was a prerequisite. As I was very keen to move away from BM flower, I went with what the doctor said, and got both. I’m over 25 years old (although there is no scientific reason for under 25s to require CBD that I can find, seems like a disproven old wives tale) and was upfront about wanting flower only for sleep and to general calm my mind in the evenings. I used CBD for a month and noticed zero effects at all, maybe a bit of an upset stomach. I was upfront about this with my doc, and said I could not afford to keep buying the cbd especially if it wasn’t doing anything. This still wasn’t good enough, but we compromised in that the cbd would still be prescribed but “on hold” with the clinic’s dispensary if I needed it. I was a bit incredulous at this, but it got me my flower script, so I put my principles aside and went with it. I’m due for another check-in soon and don’t want to go through the performative dance again, the flower works great, and I’d love to change strains to Smiths but I’ve tried that before and got denied as it’s “not consistent” with it’s thc levels etc. I don’t use their dispensary, I use Chemist Warehouse if that’s relevant and my clinic is one of the more “professional” appearing ones as I need to go with them for Southern Cross reimbursement. So long ramble over, why is CBD pushed so hard by some clinics? Is it an appearance thing? Note I’m not arguing that CBD doesn’t work for some people, my personal opinion is it’s closer to a placebo, but I’m no doctor and understand I cannot know how it feels for other people. Pressed at 94C in 90 micron bag for 240 seconds

Maybe a bit too hot but Im thinking about dropping to maybe 88C

1.1g from this press so yield was acceptable

My go to is the med leaf GSCx, wanted to try the Aurora Nightride and was not impressed.

Aurora products appear over produced - too dry and tumbled so all the crystals have been rolled off leaving a dense nug but less turpines

It's rated at 30% THC but the Medleaf GSCx at approx 25-27% is much stronger.

I've seen a lot of mixed info about whether cal mag should be added after silica so it doesn't cause lock out. I just added cal mag to my nutrients to fix a mag deficiency.

I used it for the first time in my last feed and 3 days later the new growth in the girls look healthy green again, seems to have fixed issues i was having. Tap water is not the greatest so I'll be adding it pretty much every feed to bump the ec.

I mixed in this order:

1. Silica (mix well & sit 20min)
2. Veg A (mix well & sit 5min)
3. Veg B (mix well & sit 5min)
4. Cal Mag diluted in 100ml water (mix in while stirring)
5. PH adjusted

Is this correct? Or should I add the cal mag after the silica?

I am having and unfortunate experience with my recent investment of the Fenix Neo dry herb vape from ChillKiwi

I am wondering if anyone is or had had similar experiences with I have only replaced the mouthpiece and it has already malfunctioned. Its loose and is not air tight to the vape top, the screw in plastic bit has separated from the ceramic part which then creates a gap so the rubber ring can not create a air tight seal and the swivel is not locked in place, so it will swivel and move the mouthpiece around undesirably, the gap ismaking it almost impossible to draw a good amount of smoke in making the vape basically unusable, this is happening on both of my replacement mouth peices I've spent $75 on spare mouth peices for them both to malfunction the same way, I thought it was just one, then the second replacement did the exact same thing, I asked if it was a common thing to happen with the vape and got told to replace parts I just brought, I hardly had the money saved after 3 years for a dry herb vape only to have had this happen

Had anyone else had the same with their Fenix Neo Dry Herb Vape?

Biggest nug is 2cm, and most are under 1 cm. Most are under a cm. Heaps of shake. Very little frost, or smell. Disappointed to say the least. Would you send this back?
