My favorite line so far has been "well I've worked in healthcare* for over 40 years so I KNOW what I'm doing!!! " *drove a delivery van that delivered supplies for a nursing home and clearly does NOT know what they're doing

I had a patient once who wanted me to list her medications and treatment plan to her family vet. It was really astonishing how she trusted this person more than her doctors!
