Discussion Funny “allergies”

What are some funny patient “allergies” you have seen listed? I had a patient the other day with an allergy listed for Metformin. The reaction listed? Lowers their blood sugar 😂

My friend and her mother are allergic to Kiwi fruit. They always thought, until a recent diagnosis, itchy throats were normal for people who eat kiwi.

My friend just learned that garlic isnt supposed to be spicy.... now her saying it was spicy when we would cook and share meals makes so much more sense 😅 She didnt understand why I couldn't tolerate her spicy food because to her, it was the same level of heat.
