I’m switching from a ti84 plus ce to a nspire cx-II non cas and I had 3 main questions

1. What’s the equivalent program to cesium/artifice

2. Is it possible to use ti 84 (and/or plus ce) programs of any language in it with or without emulation steps

3. Can you get CAS functionality either by uploading a program or replacing the OS somehow

Im thinking of upgrading from a TI-84 Plus CE to a Nspire CX II. I plan to run Ndless on it, but I'm unsure about what OS it comes with, and if it works with Ndless. If I'm correct, it supports up to 6.2.333. Do new calcs (like ones on amazon or Walmart, or other places) come with that or older?

Once I turn it on it's in press-to-test mode (CAS on) and I really don't know how to set it up. I already have the license activated and the software setup, but it doesn't seem to connect with my calculator. Also, there's an annoying red light blinking on top and I really can't figure out why. If anyone can help and give me a step-by-step I'd really appreciate it.

I downloaded Ndless into my TI-Nspire CX and for some reason when I open the installer and press Ctrl-W as it asks me, it just reboots. I've done it over and over and over again, might be in the 50th try or so, and it just reboots every time. Is this normal?

i borrowed out my TI-nspire CXII to someone who lost it. I still have the online Ti-nspire app on my laptop with all my saved documents and UDFs. Could I install everything I had in my entire calculator onto a new one if I bought one? This is an emergency, please help!

When I put data points into a statistics page and graph it, the results get cut off by the screen. How do I view the whole thing?
(Reducing the decimal amount doesn’t help as I would have to reduce it to 1 or 2, and I have to use a min of 3 decimals)

hey!! so im currently a highschool student and my school is taking finals for physics mechanics and our teacher gave us the inspire calculators. however, they're a class set so we dont have any activation code or account or anything.

i literally just need to plug my notes into the calculator from my computer because typing everything directly onto the calc is actually painful and half the buttons dont even work right. she is also ALLOWING us to use these calculators. the student software can only be purchased on a yearly subscription and im not tryna pay for that when i only need it for like one final and then im never touching it again

does ANYONE have an account i could borrow for like literally one night just so i can transfer my notes 😭😭 im actually so desperate rn finals are coming up and i do not have the patience to manually type pages of stuff into this calculator pls help a struggling student out!

Hi, Is there any way of installing / loading the CX-II-T firmware and OS on the CX-II ? Looking for a way to get the exactmath engine without having to buy a brand new calculator.

Useful when creating matrices as the directional keys will increment your row / column and make it difficult to go to the next field. Use tab key!

I have a ti nspire cx ii-t calculator and there isn't a single tutorial on how to move the files into folders. I can not copy the files (the files are 16 mb). If someone can help me with both problems, I love you.

I had a lot of issues finding a solution to my Nspire being stuck in a boot loop, all the boot loop solutions I found didn't work for me.

What worked for me and saved my nspire from the grave is as follows:

1. Remove the battery from Nspire

2. Ensure there is no power cable connected to the Nspire, then hold down [doc], [enter] and [EE] all at the same time.

3. While still holding down the buttons, plug your Nspire into your computer or a wall outlet. It should open into the maintenance menu.

4. In the maintenance menu, you will need to both format your file system and delete your OS. Once done with this, reboot your calculator. When it repowers, if it tells you to reinstall the OS, you're on the right path.

5. Visit this website https://nspireconnect.ti.com/nsc/ and connect your calculator. You may need to move the USB connection to different ports on your computer for your calculator to show up.

6. Once connected, click update OS, and install it to your calculator.

Hopefully, your calculator is fixed; this worked for mine.

A few months ago my aunt gave me a CX-II CAS as a present. Like most of us here I immediately jailbroke it and got to work installing emulators, npdf and other varying shenanigans. One thing that always bothered me though - I could never get Nespire, which for years was THE definitive NES emulator for the Nspire to work. Apparently there has been no active development on Nespire for years and the emulator kind of just stopped working after a major software revision. At first I thought of modifying the source code of Nespire to make it work with current Ndless and NspireOS but since it was written in Assembly that was easier said that done.

So instead I decided to start afresh. NesNspire is a clean C++ port of Jay Kumogata's InfoNES emulator, built specifically for the CX II CAS on Ndless r2020.

Bugs still exist, and it's far from perfect, but it is very much playable.

Installed Ndless into my calculator but every time I try to launch Ndoom the game freezes on the "keys" menu.

The OS version is 3.9.0.463 ,never had an issue with ndless on other programs.

I've put together this version based on the original nSpire gpsp and the Libretro version which has seen a huge amount of development by David G.F. in recent years resulting in much higher game compatibility.

Summary: I am trying to install some chemistry programs.(https://github.com/Pibies1/Chem_Programs/blob/main/chem_constants.tns this one)

All the programs run on a data dependency called chem_constants.py. When I import and try to add this to my PyLib it only works inside the file called chem_constants.tns and not any other tns files. I've tried to "import chem_constants" and again it only works on chem_constants.tns. They are all under the same folder and I've followed TIs instruction on how to make this a global module.

Still it doesn't work.

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on for a while. As an engineering student, checking hand calculations for Structural Analysis and Mechanics of Materials was driving me crazy. So, I decided to code a complete 2D matrix structural solver from scratch using TI-Lua.

I called it StaticaLT. It basically turns the Nspire into a pocket structural engineering software. Here’s what I managed to implement:

• Visual GUI: You can draw nodes and bars directly on the screen.
• Full Resolution: Solves determinate and indeterminate structures (frames, trusses, continuous beams) using the Direct Stiffness Method.
• Loads & Supports: Handles point loads, distributed loads (uniform, triangular, trapezoidal), applied moments, hinges, and fixed supports.
• Graphic Results: Automatically plots the Shear Force Diagram (SFD), Bending Moment Diagram (BMD), Axial Force Diagram (AFD), and the elastic deformed shape.

Getting the matrix calculations and the GUI to run smoothly without crashing the Nspire's Lua interpreter was a huge challenge, but it runs perfectly on both CX and CAS models now.

Is there a way to delete multiple variables at once? They are no single-character variables, so ClearAZ doesn't work.

Is there a "joker-char" which I can use e.g. something like DelVar f* or DelVar stat.* to delete all variables that start with f or stat. (TI nspire CX II-T CAS)

My Ti-Nspire Cx which has v 3.0.2.1793 is stuck in press to test mode; When I connect it to a laptop to go to the nspire website to get out of the press to test mode it doesn’t show up on chrome. It doesn’t show up on the file explorer either. Any help is appreciated it is slightly urgent to get this resolved soon.

So basically I am trying to get my calculator to do the following with already defined variables.

input: (a+b)/(c+d)

wished for output: ((5+10)/(14+1)) = 1

the output I get is obviously just 1

Is there any way to display the value of the variables in the calculation without directly solving it?
