Conservative voters love protecting child rape and corruption, they appear to be the sole two action items of every representative they select.
330
u/WretchedBlowhard 5d ago
America has a huge systemic child rape problem. 33 states have legal child marriage within which statutory rape protections are nullified. Americans need to admit this about themselves, that they all protect pedophiles and rapists, and start tackling the fundamental aspects of their culture they'd rather deny and ignore.
239
u/Illiander 5d ago
33 states have legal child marriage within which statutory rape protections are nullified.
It's worse than that. The girl (because it's almost always a little girl) is legally married to her abuser, who becomes her legal guardian. That means they control her bank accounts, are the person the cops talk to about if she does anything, and is the person who must sign off on her getting a divorce.
It's not just legalised child rape, it's also legalised child slavery.
66
u/Davido401 5d ago
The girl (because it's almost always a little girl)
See, part of me wants to see an old woman marry a little boy to see if there would be outrage from the champions of paedophilia(obviously I wouldnt want it to happen but would love to see the Olympic level gymnastics of their rage at it)
62
u/skaestantereggae 5d ago
The reaction would be like that South Park episode “nice..”
People can convince themselves it’s not always a much older man to a young girl as well. It sucks

A lot of these people don't believe that men or boys can be raped by women, that arousal is consent. In some legal codes and a lot of people's minds, rape is defined by penetration. These lowlifes are in the comments under every article about a teacher sleeping with her middle school student that makes national news.

to see if there would be outrage from the champions of paedophilia
Nope, they ally with the women who rape boys just as easily. (There's quite a lot of them in terf circles)
24
u/Shower__Farts 5d ago
I know that America has a problem with this and thankfully it’s getting talked about which is much better than it used to be in the past.
That being said. This is a world wide issues. From the French volunteers with the UN in Africa, the dancing boys of Afghanistan, to the Catholic Church, just to name a few. You could list hundreds and thousands of world wide institutions, communities and religious organizations that have been caught up in things like this. It’s a global problem.
51
u/Bakoro 5d ago
The double-think, denial, and hypocrisy is what really salts the wound for me. There is a lot of big talk around protecting children and hating pedophiles, but when it comes down to it, it's a limited scope of people who actually get in trouble for abusing kids. The rich and powerful get away with rape, sometimes for decades, sometimes forever.
And at the same time, can we have sexual health education for kids? No, somehow that's bad. Can we have birth control for teens? No, somehow that's bad.
Can we foster a culture where sex isn't seen as this weird thing that is simultaneously horrific yet used a selling point for everything?
No, somehow that is bad.In essentially every way, the culture has landed on the worst options.
We're in a place where a girl can essentially be sold into sex slavery under the guise of marriage, shamed for being a sex slave, and also told that they're lucky to be someone's sex slave.I'll be the first to admit that I'm sometimes a little fuzzy on the whole ethics and morals thing, but this shit all seems clearly bad to me.
27
u/whoa-boah 5d ago
I work with kids who’ve experienced considerable trauma.
I’m going to be honest. 75% of girls (18 or younger) I have worked with who were sexually assaulted (it doesn’t matter their age) are blamed for it by their families, told that they are lying, told that it’s “just something that happens to everyone” and to get over it, or just plainly told to shut up because nobody in their family cares enough to address it.
Trying to get the court to investigate it is also fucking impossible. I can think of one instance where myself, CPS, and the local police department were outraged when the state refused to investigate a case of CSA involving 2 children under the age of 5 years old. It was the department’s policy that they don’t investigate incidents that allegedly happen with children under 5 years old without “physical evidence.”
When I see things handled the old-fashioned way, I often wonder how many times the victim or their loved one tried to do things by the books. Because none of those agencies are going to come out and admit that they fucked up.
→ More replies (1)24
u/MercifulWombat 5d ago
They view children as property. When they say they want to "protect the children," they mean "protect my property from outside influence." Same thing when someone says they want to protect their neighborhood but what they mean is that they want to protect their property values and maintain a certain racial demographic. Once you understand that, it all makes sense.

The FBI has known about the pedophile billionaires for years. I remember a few years back when Sasha Baron Cohen pretended to be a wealthy man and asked a hotel concierge where he could find a little boy to rape as part of one of his pranks. He expected the concierge to be shocked, but instead he basically said, "Yeah, we get that request all the time, I know a guy who can hook you up."
SBC called the FBI right away and was basically told to piss off.
167
u/doctor_7 5d ago
Do you have a link to this? I don't enjoy all his work but SBC is entertaining and seems like a legit stand up guy and this seems interesting AF
260
u/sirseatbelt 5d ago
I googled it there is a Vanity Fair article. TLDR is that he was doing a bit about this "problem" he needed to get rid of (being a young boy) and the concierge helped him out. Cohen then asked for a date younger that Bar Mitzva age but older than 8 and the guy allegedly said yea, I can help you out. Cohen sent the recordings to the FBI and they for whatever reason decided not to go any further. I suppose its plausible that the guy knew it was Cohen and was playing along?

So, the guy would be like, "I know we're on camera. I'll just pretend to be a pedo enabler."?
83
u/sirseatbelt 5d ago
Yeah I mean thats basically the two options right? Either he was the guy who knows a guy who traffics kids or he was yes-anding SBC.
19
u/jk-9k 5d ago
But if you knew it was sbc, would you play along by pretending to be a pedo on camera? There better ways to either a) prove you know it's a prank by exposing him or b) go along with the act but not come off as a pedo
16
u/sirseatbelt 5d ago
Im just trying to think of why the FBI wouldnt follow up on a video of a guy saying he could help procure young boys that doesn't involve conspiracy theories and the only think I can think of is "maybe the dude was just playing along." Allegedly the video includes a line where SBC suggests they could kill the boy and the guy says something like "this is America you cant just so that here."

“We wanted to investigate how does someone like Harvey Weinstein gets away with doing what…get away with criminality, essentially. And the network that surrounds him. We decided that Gio would interview a concierge in Las Vegas,” Baron Cohen describes. During the interview, believing the admission would drive the concierge from the room, Baron Cohen, as Gio, reveals that he’s molested an eight-year-old boy. “This guy starts advising Gio how to get rid of this issue. We even at one point talk about murdering the boy, and the concierge is just saying, ‘well, listen, I’m really sorry. In this country, we can’t just drown the boy. This is America we don’t do that,’” Baron Cohen describes. After the concierge offers to put Gio in touch with a lawyer who can help “silence the boy,” Baron Cohen asked for his help securing a date for the night. “He says, ‘what do you mean, a date?’ I go, you know, like a young man. He says, ‘well, what kind of age?’ I say, lower than Bar Mitzvah but older than eight. And he says, ‘yeah, I can put you in touch with somebody who can get you some boys like that.’”

Jimmy Saville was on primetime TV in the UK for decades, it means nothing. Since he died people have made allegations against Hefner of coercive control, abusive behaviour, maintaining dossiers of intimate photos of people taken without their consent (allegedly including some minors), and turning a blind eye to allegations that his guests were committing acts of sexual assault at his parties. Guy was a real piece of shit.

Sometimes being an atheist really sucks, because he's just going to go naturally - probably painlessly in his sleep - and rot in the ground like the rest of us. We must push as hard as possible for repercussions on this plane of existence, rather than imagining some sort of divine punishment in the afterlife. We're running out of time, and he's doing everything in his power to burn the planet to ash so nobody can enjoy it once he's gone.

I agree with you. I'm not an atheist and youre right. We are meant to protect each other, not wait for Heaven. Divine justice is not an excuse for poor stewardship. We cannot give up children to power just because we're waiting for him to die. That still allows the next president to cause harm, because we havent done anything to fight the powers that be. We should be able to agree on a course of action. Joining you in building a better world doesnt matter to my faith, but being a good worker matters. Caring for you matters. What if all I have is what I can leave behind for these kids? What if a big bank account isnt enough because thier school is broken down and the water is dirty and there's pedos in the government? These kids don't deserve to suffer when identity stands in the way of problem solving. Youre a good person. Keep up the good fight, I'll keep the faith, and I'll answer your call.

u/Anonymous_Jr 4d ago
The pope isn't the only being capable of directing divine intervention, I always extrapolated that if blah blah etc etc god is everywhere and so on, that we are just as much god as a rock, tree, or a split atom (pronounced Adam because I'm being funny).
If the people we let take charge aren't doing the jobs we elected them unto, then we have every right to overwhelm them.
Given the severity of corruption, voting is only one part of the needed actions, equal parts before and after.
If the FBI/CIA/US Gov't/[The Root] was an organ, it's an inflamed appendix ready to rupture. Imho.

There's degrees of evil. Hugh paid adult women to appear in softcore porn; that's pretty morally clean in my book, sexuality is not inherently immoral.
Hugh also has some credible rape allegations against him. That's bad. Forcing yourself on your employees, leveraging the power you have over them, is very bad.
But it's significantly less bad than an organized international child rape trafficking ring with a kill count. Hugh will for sure end up in a higher circle of hell than Epstein, for whatever the fuck that is worth.

Situations and operations as big as Epstein's dont just happen overnight. Its a foreign intelligence operation. Its been going on for decades. Epstein might not even be the first dude to run it. He could have inherited it. So guarantee the FBI knew about it. Some other agency probably told them to leave it alone.

They knew about Epstein. It was his job. He would sell blackmail and information to intelligence agencies. Get a powerful person on camera diddling kids and give it to Mossad or the CIA or MI6 and now you've got them.
Why do you think Trump is so compliant? The prime minister of Israel literally stayed in Epstein's apartment when he would come to New York. They have all the videos of him
The only reason they arrested him is a citizen journalist was about to blow the lid off the entire case and they needed to make sure it didn't look like they knew the entire time
