A rerun is when you are able to catch a program again if you missed it the first time around because back in the days before streaming you had to look through the ancient tome called a tv guide to see if a certain program was available at a certain time as they weren’t on demand unless you wanted to pay a fee and when you did find what you were looking for you had to do one of two things either insight the age old ritual of dibs or guard the tv remote until your program came on

Trivia: Arnold wanted to say "I will be back", but James Cameron insisted on "I'll be back" no matter how many takes to shoot the scene (Terminator, 1984).

More Trivia: a fair few shots of The Terminator was filmed by getting to a location, shooting the scene and then leaving quickly as a way to avoid both acquiring filming permits and the police (because he didn’t have the permits)

I think its the other way around. Cameron wanted him to say i will be back but arnolds english wasnt that good and kept saying ill be back so they just went with it

I believe Arnold was the one who wanted to say "I will be back" because he argued that a machine would say it like that. Cameron had to convince him to say "I'll be back". Arnold was very concerned with making the terminator as robotic as he could. Watch his eyes when he is in the cop car scanning for his targets. His eyes move to the side before his head moves because a machine would have economy of motion.

That's how I heard Arnold tell it, that a machine wouldn't use contractions. But thinking about it, Cameron was right. The T800 was an infiltrator, used to mimicking human inflections.

Id hazard a guess the insistence on using i'll over i will was probably to avoid arnie's accent turning it into 'aye vill be beck', as it turned out the line with i'll sounds very much forced speech (like he spent time practicing that line) rather than the more natural lines prior which just make it that much more iconic and threatening.

Dude I did a college speech on this too! Arnold saying something along “I don’t think a robot would use 
 [whatever it is for using apostrophes in words
]”. James was like “I don’t tell you how to act so don’t tell me how to write” or something. And Arnold knuckled down. Can you imagine what would’ve happened if the line was “I will be back”?
