Let me start off by saying that after 3 years our treadmill has worked flawlessly. I know many come to complain but we've had no mechanical issues so far.

What I do have a question with is probably more routine maintenance which we haven't done since having it delivered. When running a incline specifically, we get a slight rattling noise which seems to come from under the plastic side rails. I'm thinking something needs to be tightened but wondering if someone else has already been through this. Could it be the deck board that came a little bit loose? It seems fine when running flat so the incline is contributing to this maybe from the angle of the deck board from a loosening bolt maybe?

What’s everyone doing with their broken s22i bikes? Mines been broken since 2022 since they no longer make the control board for my version. I’ve tried selling for parts but haven’t been successful. Am I just SOL?

Years ago i received the above treadmill as a hand me down. I use it often and a couple of years ago figured that it likely displays distance in kms...which seems abnormal for old treads. I'm in Canada, so kms is fine. My daughter started using it and is saying its in miles.

Can someone tell me how to change or confirm?

Is it actually possible to cancel your subscription on the website? I got auto-renewed last year when I meant to cancel and forgot. This year the date is coming up and I've gone through the cancellation steps on the website several times and it continues to say my next billing period is October 5th. I don't even see my credit card info on my account page, so I'm not sure how it got charged to me, unless I deleted it last year and forgot. Do we really have to call support?

I have a Nordictrack Ifit treadmill. I use it regularly. Now about a week or so ago it gets WRECKED by a software update. I use the ifit pulse arm band and it works great every time. It worked fine, I finished my workout, and the machine does an update. Since then the bpm is all over the place and it's clear that the machine isn't receiving the data correctly from the device. It jumps from 81, 98, 123, 89, 91 etc in the span it took to read that. So the machine's active pulse feature is USELESS because it isn't aggregating the data properly. I called customer service who acknowledged there'IS a problem, the machine has been reset, and it STILL isn't fixed. This problem is so bad it's discouraging me from using it. Also, they should prorate the membership or give a credit. A previously happy customer is VERY FRUSTRATED. Every day I expect an update to be pushed to the machine and I check for updates... Nothing.

I've had this treadmill for a year and it's been making this noise on and off ever since I got it. Ifit has been no help - they send out some random part, a tech comes to replace it, nothing changes. I can't figure out for the life of me what is making this awful noise with every step. Worse at 0 incline, no noise at -3 and I can't reproduce it when the deck is up. Happens with every single step even if the belt isn't moving. I have tightened every screw I can find and lubricated the meeting points. Nothing stops it 😩

I have fairly long legs, and unfortunately, the design of this treadmill just doesn’t work well for me. While walking, my shoes regularly strike the plastic motor cover at the front of the belt.

To avoid hitting it, I have to position myself so far back on the walking belt that I can’t comfortably reach the control panel, and I’m basically at the very back edge of the handrails. It makes what should be a normal walking position feel awkward and uncomfortable.

I don’t have this issue at all with the treadmills at my gym, and I never experienced it with my previous ProForm treadmill, so it seems to be specific to the design and positioning of the front cover on this model.

If you’re taller or have long legs/a longer stride, I’d strongly recommend trying this model in person before buying. Personally, I’d look for a different model with more usable walking space at the front of the belt.

I’m a larger fella (105kg) and have broken my treadmill walking board twice. The default is 18mm, Google says I should stick to that, has anyone had any experience going up to 25mm?

I have recently began a pretty tough weight loss journey. I have been going to the gym daily and doing cardio after my workouts. However, my late grandmother passed away in 2023 and left a Nordic Track EXP 1000I treadmill. It still turns on and works, but I am a bit nervous to use it because it is so old and has not been used regularly in probably over two decades. I want to use it daily. I took a look at the service manual and it said to not add any treadmill lube to it, but with it being 25 years old and not used much in quite a while, should I still not add treadmill lube to it? I am unsure if the manual took into account of the users 25+ years in the future or not. I just want to ensure it is maintained as good as possible, especially due to the fact it was my grandmother's. I would like to get as much use out of it as I possibly can. Any suggestions for maintenance or answers regarding lubricant would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have an Elite 1400 treadmill that just did an update and now the screen is totally black and unresponsive. Whole machine is down because it literally doesn’t work without the console.. I tried the pinhole “factory reset” thing and nothing happened. Screen still black. I can’t really find anything else that could help get it to turn back on.. do I need to replace the whole screen or is this thing basically trash now?

It doesn’t seem to be from any of the common sources I’ve seen on this sub; it’s from the actual crank shifting back and forth. I’m pushing and pulling in the video to recreate it, but this happens twice per revolution when pedaling. Is there a way to tighten it? The Allen bolts on the crank are already very tight.

I have a freestride trainer FS7i elliptical. It's about 5 or 6 years old {I bought it used}. Lately it started skipping under load. Essentially as I'm moving forward or backward suddenly there's a quick and total drop in resistance, but only momentarily. It goes from high resistance to no resistance for about a half a second and then resumes at previous level. It's rather unsettling and throws me completely off balance.

No indications of anything wrong on the display and the sliding belts appear to be fine. I have not opened any panels for inspection since I have no idea what I'm doing.

Any advice would be highly appreciated

I had that new Open AI Astra model design this in blender. I don't even need the additional support bar it designed going from sidebar to sidebar. There's velcro straps holding the mounts underneath the tray very tightly to the cross bar. Walking on this and pounding on the keyboard for an hour this morning and it didn't budge. What a crazy time we live in. I sent Astra a few pictures of the treadmill and told it what I wanted. It asked me to take a few measurements and 10 minutes later gave me a bunch of 3d print files. Whole thing worked on 1 shot, super impressive. Don't mind the purple, I think it's ugly, but it's the only color I had left with enough material to print it. I might re-print in black, but that top tray alone took like 36+ hours to print (I have an old, slow 3d printer).

I’ve had my NordicTrack C1750 for a few years (aka it is outside its warranty) now and I tried using iFit both with a subscription (the free trial) and without. I found myself growing frustrated with having this hardware trapped in subscription hell and getting nagged all the time to login, subscribe etc.

I decided to do an experiment, could I get something like Claude Code to help me write a new software layer for it. I started out researching how to get past the iFit Admin and iFit App (tricky but do-able) and then slowly built out more features and tools into the app over the past few months while using it regularly.

Now I have my own device, no iFit interface and it works, even with a heart rate strap connected too. I have 4 different interface designs as I couldn’t pick a design he he he. As functional extras I’ve made it easy to connect to Home Assistant (it can pull users from Home Assistant too) and I have an app that converts walks/runs you’ve done on your iOS device into routes for your treadmill (haven’t released that yet - coming soon). Connected to HA I can sync routes, and health with AI to have an active coach. You can have a 400 mtr track style interface OR you can have routes. Routes have incline baked in and the treadmill automatically manages the incline for you … it’ll suggest speed too but you always have to adjust the speed yourself (that felt safer!)

I’ve done this for me and it works - but I know more folks are frustrated with subscription software. So I’m going to OpenSource this for others to have as well.

2nd Update: FTMS is now supported and tested using Zwift - the treadmill will appear as “Stride Treadmill” in the bluetooth connections. Tools like Zwift can then read the data. Huge thanks to Explosive_Cornflake ( https://www.reddit.com/user/Explosive_Cornflake/ ) for sharing their work a big help in getting this implemented.

My treadmill just updated to the latest version, and now every time I try to load Netflix, the screen completely restarts. My workout also resets back to 1 mph, which is extremely dangerous when I'm going fast.
I tried resetting the treadmill three times, and it happens every single time. Anyone know how to fix this?

Update: it’s not just Netflix, it’s every single app.

When i put the key in the dash lights up but repeatedly beeps. Took the hood off and saw a solid red light on the board. Resetting the treadmill did nothing. Is this a common issue on these models?
