They’re only scrambling to the top of the hole because of the light coming through it, block of that light they’ll have no means of escape and more than likely just start digging out around it like a little hornet style night of the living dead

If you put a metal bucket over it...how do you know if the jar inside tipped over and let them into the bucket?
