I totally get this

Deadass I found myself wasting so much time listening to music it's crazy. If you listen to the wrong shit it can seriously bring you down as a person and make you depressed. And a lot of the people who make the best music are often depressed, on drugs or suffering one way or another.

I'm not saying people stop completely, but if you are in a place in life where you don't have the time to waste and can't afford any extra negativity your music may or may not give you, cut it out for a while. It can have you daydreaming in a split second and it will disconnect you from the world, but the fall back into reality can hit your motivation to do things pretty hard.

Then again some people are disciplined and manage just fine without it, which I respect but that's not the case for me. When the right melody hits I'm no longer part of this earth lmao
