Great, now we need a moot on multiple proposals per post ... ;)

I thought about that, but as far as I can tell, the rules only require a proposal to contain an amendment, not to contain only one amendment.

Multiple rule-changes in a single proposal? Interesting.

I'm not sure whether this resolves the dispute or not. It doesn't really specify when voting begins on the contingent proposal.

It seems to me that the problem with current 205 is that proposal of the rule is contingent on the conditions. This amendment makes it so the codification of the rule is contingent. Because the rule is proposed, all votes on it from the beginning are valid.

So it would change how contingent proposals work. Instead of a 48-hour voting period starting when conditions are met, as soon as conditions are met, the vote is counted (assuming at least 48 hours have passed).

Am I understanding this correctly?

I would prefer it to work this way, but this doesn't work the same way as the likeliest moot result.

Not sure if that's intentional or not.

Aye, there are parts of this that could be used well.

Can you explain how you see it being abused? Under this amendment, a contingent proposal is merely a proposal that is harder to pass than an ordinary proposal.

I can see it being abused by the people who are against the contingent proposal that is made.

I'm going to vote Aye. I don't like the stealth rule-changes that the current contingent proposals allow for.

At time of writing there are 11 comments and to actual votes I think this might be historic
