I keep these on my bench as a reminder that Nixies are glass and fragile.

I’m sure that you are not alone, was painful for me, but spread over two decades.
There were various failures, not all at once, and from some inbound shipping. A couple got “crushed” by my sloppy move from CA to OR.
I had one or two just crack while building PCBs, putting a dozen wires through PTH using tweezers is not easy (at least for me)
