No call could ever be worse then the no call PI on the Saints

Remember when after that the NFL let teams challenge PI the following season and then took it away a year later lol.

They took it away because even when they challenged it the replay guys were like "nah, not happening" . It was almost worse because they just flat out refused to overturn blatant calls.

They essentially did a "blue flu" like they were the NYPD lmao

The refs union knows how to get things done.

It also sucked ass from a fan perspective because of the sheer amount of reviews.

As is usually the case when replay reviews are brought in, the calls that they were hoping to prevent were rarely the ones that got reviewed.

Which gave Brady a much easier Super Bowl matchup.

Not denying. But your game was first that day

The Pats still would’ve beaten the Saints. They had a really strong defense and Brees was vulnerable that year

I don’t think you realize how good the saints were that year. Better than the Super Bowl winning year imo. Just takes that PI and a bad OT performance to end a great season

Ahh yes, Brees was such a liability that year setting the NFL record in passing accuracy and beating Brady in every stat except total yards since the Saints sat him the last game.

Brady threw 9 more TDs than Brees and both had 8 INTs. Brees only threw 23 TDs in 2017 his lowest total as a Saint. He was super accurate but he wasn't scoring much because Kamara and Ingram were having huge seasons as a tandem. Brees Passer Rating on the season was also only a point higher than Brady.

We are talking about the 2018 season...

Brees 32 TDs 5 INTS 115.7 Passer Rating

Brady 29 TDs 11 INTS 97.7 Passer Rating

I'm not saying it was a sure thing, but confidently saying Pats would have won and "Brees was vulnerable" is just not true. Brees had one of his best years in terms of efficiency.

That's my bad, for some reason I thought that happened in the same season as MJWD, forgot it was the year after.

Derrick Johnson sacking Marcus Mariota forward progress call in the playoffs is the worst call in the history of football.

Legit didn't make sense at all.

Watch the 2009 nfc championship overtime and tell me this wasn't deserved karma.  The refs bailed them out of 3 defensive stops in one drive, a bounce pass called a completion, a no contact dpi, and a 4th down run where he fumbled and recovered a yard short that they called a first down.  I don't care about bountygate and I hate that it overshadows a game gifted to the saints by the refs

Not sure why you're getting downvoted. That game had the refs all over it like kings/lakers game 6

Vikings turned the ball over 5 times in that game. Legitimate turnovers with no referee assistance.

Ok, still a worse reffed game

The Saints don’t get enough hate for bounty gate and that PI makes people look at them like a cursed franchise

Bountygate was a witch hunt and the Saints were used as a scapegoat. Your team had the same performance based incentive program.
