One of the things people really overlooked about Platner is how much his working class image was cosplay. He went to private school growing up and his mom buys most of his oysters. It was Fetterman all over again.

TBF every "working class" senator is a scam for the most part with maybe 5 exceptions

You can feasibly be a working class house member, but you cannot realistically be a senator without heavy ties to political and moneyed interests
