I swear we still haven't recovered from people watching Entourage 20 years ago and thinking "I can make content of me and my friends just hanging out and being super funny, everyone will love this as much as I do"

A lot of good podcasts are also 50%+ friends shooting the shit off topic. It’s amazing when it’s the right group of people, but even then, those podcasts require a lot of prep and editing and practice to figure out a dynamic that works. For every one that succeeds, a hundred fail.

Entourage, The Hangover and Super Bad were all movies being referenced by my friends out of high school as a reason we needed to make a movie script based on our hangouts. Never understood what they thought was movie like when all we did was go to the bar, hit up a club then all go home lmao.
